Always With You Demo Guide
A beginner-friendly Always With You demo guide — how character switching works, how to approach every puzzle in chapter 1-1, and habits that make the trial click.
Última atualização:
This Always With You demo guide explains the mechanics the trial actually teaches, in the order you will meet them. Because the demo covers the opening chapter (1-1), this page focuses on fundamentals rather than a room-by-room spoiler walkthrough — puzzle solutions are best discovered yourself in a puzzle game this charming.
The one rule everything hangs on
You are not one character — you are four. Mia and her three cats are all playable at any time, and every puzzle room is designed around the differences between them. The Steam page describes it as switching freely between the girl and the cats to navigate obstacles, and that is the whole skill ceiling of the demo: choosing who solves what.
The three interaction verbs
Almost every puzzle in the demo combines these moves:
- Push stones — heavy objects that block paths or hold down switches. Whoever pushes, the path matters more than the muscle.
- Slip through gaps — narrow passages and pipes that only a cat can enter. The official Instagram famously shows Caramel diving into a pipe without hesitation; expect many pipes.
- Switch and combine — the classic pattern is cat-squeezes-through → opens the door → girl-advances. When stuck, ask "which of my four bodies fits where I cannot go?"
A stress-free order of operations for chapter 1-1
- On entering a room, rotate the camera and look before touching anything — exits, gaps, and interactables are all visible.
- Try the obvious path first; the demo teaches by letting you fail gently.
- If a route is blocked by a narrow gap or pipe, switch to a cat — if it is blocked by a heavy stone, push.
- Use the Adventure Log (added in the August 2025 update) to review what you have found if you step away and return.
Stuck?
No puzzle in the demo requires outside help for long. Re-check the room as a different character — almost every wall in chapter 1-1 is a hint that the solution belongs to someone else in your party.
What the demo does not cover
- Boss battles — the full game advertises guardian boss fights; the demo's scope is the opening chapter (to be confirmed: whether a mini-boss appears late in the trial).
- Mid-game mechanics — the store page promises 40+ puzzles and mechanisms; the demo is only the first slice.
